Springing Forward

I could care less that I lost an hour of sleep last weekend. It's completely worth the extra hour of daylight each night! That extra hour suits my workout schedule perfectly. I am certainly NOT an early riser, so you can imagine how stoked I was when we were invited to join a Charlotte running group that meets at 6:30... in the evening!

This group, "NoDa Brewing Run Club", meets on Wednesdays for a 3 mile run around the neighborhood. It's open to anyone and offers the best post-run activities ever--> grabbing a drink at the brewery where the run ends and devouring a heavenly dinner from the local food trucks! Genius plan.

This last Wednesday, Ian and I ran with this group, which just so happened to be hosting "The Diaper Dash"- a fundraiser event for women's shelters. We brought baby supplies in exchange for raffel tickets. And we won prizes with those raffel tickets! We never win anything! But check out our loot: bright t-shirts, fancy running socks, a nifty water bottle, and 2 gift certificates for $20 to the running store (I see new shoes in my future) !!

We basically ran 3 miles, won way too many prizes, drank tasty brews, and ate juicy burgers (hellooo pimento cheeseburger). It was such a great night. We will be dashing with those evening runners again soon!

    1. I'm really upset that you didn't come too! But totally understandable. You would have won all the cool prizes anyways, so it's probably a good thing you couldn't make it ;) xoxo
