Property Virgins

Ian and I have been pretty hush hush about our house hunting experience. So it's finally time to fill in our close family and friends.

For the last three months, we have been trying to find our first home. We've toured many properties. We've been overwhelmed by the Charlotte market; it's fast paced and relatively pricy. And then there's another dilemma--we have very specific "must haves". We want privacy (a quiet hideaway to escape our hectic work life), a basement, a garage, some character, and more space! All for the right price, of course. 

Two weeks ago, we finally fell in love with a home! After some slow-paced negotiating, we are under contract!! And yesterday, we had our home inspection. Overall, it went well. Definitely a few items that must be addressed. We know there are many more hurdles to leap over before we close, but we wanted to share the exciting news with you.
