Prime Time

On our days off, we've been working ever so diligently on our kitchen remodel.

New appliances came last week. Everything fit into its custom space. Thank the Lord.

Currently, we are trying to paint all 29 cabinet faces. The cabinets have been taken down, scrubbed clean, and sanded. But before painting, we must prime.

For us to prime all those cabinets by hand, well, that would take light years. So we decided to visit The Home Depot for the umpteenth time. We purchased our little miracle machine - the paint sprayer.

Ian set up a "paint booth" in our garage, complete with a plastic ceiling. He explained that paint particles would go everywhere; thus, we must cover everything! Once the tedious prepping was completed, Ian sprayed the cabinets with primer paint in a matter of minutes. If only the paint dried as quickly....

  1. This is awesome! Are you guys reconfiguring the layout by moving cabinets or is everything going to be in the same place with updated appliances, painted cabinets and new countertops? I can't wait to see!
