For our previous bathroom remodel, we used a power combo to remove the wallpaper: Dif (the ever so popular formula) + Steamer + Nan (Ian's mom). While this combo worked wonders, I could not find Dif in stock at Lowe's, and I couldn't fly Nan back down to help me. So I took a chance and tried something new....
This purple Piranha may look playful, but it's serious stuff. Seriously awesome stuff. I did not have to use a steamer. And one wall took me about an hour and a half to clean. So after four hours, the glue was gone. I left glue on the wall with the bathtub since we plan to tile the whole thing. Now, we have to repair, patch, and prime the walls. Ian has to finish mudding (which is the devil too), then we can knock out the fun updates: tile, paint, and tile some more!
Check out the materials I'm dying to start installing: gorgeous penny tile for around the tub and the window wall, natural stone tile for the floor, and a lovely creamy paint color for the walls.
This bathroom is going to be one neutral nirvana.
Penny Tile (Overstock.com), Floor Tile (Home Depot), "Steamed Milk" paint color (Sherwin Williams)
