Labor Saving Finds

Who doesn't love completing a project in half the time? If there is a product invented to help cut down the labor involved, then we are game for giving it a whirl. With that said, we definitely don't take short cuts if it means compromising the quality of our work. We know details matter. But back to trying time-saving gadgets...

Check out these two products we discovered. If we were to write product reviews, we'd give both 5 stars. These two discoveries are not really related, except for the fact they have saved us tons of time!

First, let me introduce the EZClean Surface Cleaner. It's an attachment for our pressure sprayer that works like a magic eraser. It's amazing how quickly this little round gadget clears away the mildew and grime! Sounds glamourous I know. But I really do love pressure washing!

So to clean our entire driveway with just the normal, tiny nozzle on our sprayer, well, that would take days. But this miracle machine cleaned our driveway in just a few hours. So if you have big areas to spray, it's completely worth the $70 price tag. I can't wait to attack our back deck with the EZClean!

Excuse my poor videotaping skills. I was holding the phone in my left hand while trying to spray with my right. Not to mention, the hose was in my way. But you can clearly see the instant results!!

Headphones on (for both noise and music) to help make this cleaning session EZ BREEZY

See how tiny the nozzle is without the attachment? It only cleans an inch width versus 15 inches with the EZ Clean.

The EZ Clean won't work on the stairs. I had to use the tiny nozzle. I was getting drenched, hence the goggles, garbage bag, and galoshes! What a difference, yes?!

The second product we found saved us both time and money. Did you know they make covers to hide the entire face of an electrical outlet? For anyone remodeling an older home that comes equipped with beige, dingy looking outlets, you can easily change them!

Ian was expecting to replace both the 3 prong-plug and the cover separately, which cost about $4 total per outlet. And not to mention the time to disconnect and reconnect electrical parts! But this white cover costs half the price and it's so easy to install that I can do all the outlet replacements with just a screwdriver!

Just tightening the plug to the wall at the top and bottom.

Before. Our beige, dingy, and dated outlet.

Cover plate goes on. One screw. One minute. Done!

After. Quite a big difference in just one minute! Only 35 more outlets to change!
